Director’s Corner: The gifts we give: Wrapping the year with peace

“Peace of mind is what everyone wants” — Prathima Bhandary

We are in the gift-giving business. Every day, and in every interaction, we are offering our patients, the community and the world beyond something that transcends our research and clinical care.

We are giving the gift of peace.

When we outline treatment options for a patient or resolve a research question in one of our labs, we are showing the world beyond our doors that we are always working – as a team and family – with their best interests in mind. It’s the philosophy behind our Multidisciplinary Treatment Teams, our Basic Science Research Programs and behind every decision we make regarding cancer treatment, prevention, outreach and education.

We are spreading peace. Peace of mind. Peace on Earth.

The holidays are a good time to remember that. Tis, after all, the season.
