On the Map for Cancer Immunotherapy

sitcResearchers and healthcare workers from across the region gathered at GRU on September 18, 2015 for a CME-certified, full-day program, “Tumor Immunology 101: A Navigation Guide for the Growing Field of Cancer Immunotherapy,” organized by GRU Cancer Center’s Samir N. Khleif, MD, and Esteban Celis, MD, PhD, and Medical University of South Carolina’s Zihai Li, MD, PhD.

The sold-out event filled the 100-seat conference room to capacity.  One of only 12 SITC-sponsored “Advances in Cancer Immunotherapy” programs in the nation, this event puts Augusta on the cancer immunotherapy map along with the likes of Chicago, Houston, and Washington, DC.
